A mother and entrepreneur from Surrey, who turned her passion for fashion into an exciting career as a personal stylist for the everyday woman. Ciara's inspirational story is one of empowerment, transformation, and following your dreams!
STARTING A NEW CHAPTER
Ciara left her corporate job in 2021 to focus on her family and she was looking for a career move that would also giver her a creative outlet. Discovering Melissa's YouTube channel gave her the lightbulb moment she had been waiting for. Could personal styling be her next career move?
HOW TO BECOME A PERSONAL STYLIST
Without prior professional styling experience, Ciara faced a steep learning curve. Her main objectives from the start were to understand women's body shapes and how to style them, and to gain practical insights into how to start a successful personal styling business. This motivated her to enrol in Melissa's Personal Styling for a Career course, which provides a unique mix of skill-building—including training in the Hourglass Balancing Method®—practical business advice, and supportive mentorship.
THE ADVANTAGES OF ONLINE LEARNING
Ciara initially hesitated about an online course, but the depth, flexibility, and comprehensive content put her mind at rest. Learning at her own pace made it easy to fit in around a busy family life and other commitments. Quizzes, tasks, and discussion boards included throughout the course allowed her to consolidate her knowledge following each lesson. After completing the course, Ciara received her official CPD certification.
A RENEWED SENSE OF PURPOSE
For me the course has given me a renewed purpose after stopping my corporate career and I am enjoying learning new business and marketing skills as well as the styling!
Ciara reflects on her personal and professional transformation since starting Personal Styling for a Career and tells us that is she's not only mastering new business and marketing skills but also loving helping other women discover their style and regain their confidence.
